Searsmont Rd - Lincolnville, ME

As part of a growing number of solar projects being built in Maine, Borrego worked with system owner SunRaise to build a 5.9 MW ground mount solar system in Lincolnville, ME. This system is estimated to produce approximately 7,843,000 kWh of clean energy annually and is expected to power 660 homes and businesses in the area through local community solar programs.

This system is estimated to offset 5,558 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, which is the equivalent of offsetting emissions from 1,198 gasoline-powered cars each year.

During construction, this project created more than 40 local jobs for skilled electricians, racking and fencing installers, and civil engineers. With several other Maine solar projects already installed, the Borrego interconnection team had the experience and know-how to ensure a smooth interconnection with Central Maine Power. This included working closely with the local municipal phone lines to deliver fiber to the site.
